I am super excited to launch my new company, Offkilter Guitars, today. It’s a boutique electric guitar company, specializing in my own version of an offset Tele. It’s the culmination of the last few years of trying to find my perfect guitar, and deciding I had to build it instead. Check out the website here: https://offkilterguitars.com/ and some background on the company here: https://www.danprovost.com/blog/2026/6/15/offkilter-guitars
@danprovost Good for you. This is a great life improvement. More craft and music!
@danprovost Very cool, I dig it. I’m curious - are you making your own necks or are those from Warmoth? Necks are super hard to get right…
@ccgus they are Warmoth, I find their necks to be really really good and they offer more options (wood species, radius, etc) then I ever could. I do all the fretwork (leveling, crowning, polishing, and fret end dressing) and the rolled fretboard edges after I get the neck from them.
@danprovost I have four Warmoth necks myself, so I endorse that position.
@ccgus A man of taste I see.
@danprovost You’ve chosen The Best guitar body shape.
@danprovost That's a beautiful guitar, and those are great photos. Best of luck!
@adef187 thank you!
@danprovost Always loved the sound of a tele, but also found the body supremely uncomfortable. And as much as I love my Jaguar, its tone is temperamental at best.
@adef187 it’s a winning combo!
@danprovost congratulations! This is such a great website. What a rarity from a guitar manufacturer.
@nathansnelgrove thanks Nathan, appreciate it!
@danprovost That looks awesome - well done!
