But apart for the inevitable, additional complexity of dealing with #Xorg, vs macOS well integrated graphic subsystem I am accustomed to, just discovered WiFi 6 (aka 802.11ax) is currently not supported by drivers available for the OS.

To be honest I worked for years with WiFi 4 (aka 802.11n), even with Gigabit fiber available at home, without noticing. Perhaps lack of support for higher speed mode does not matter much until the existing iwx driver can work the Intel AX201 card. #OpenBSD supports it since OS v6.8 in 2020.
