For this #MountainMonday I would like to talk about an amazing initiative brought on by the Italian Alpine Club from Livinallongo (BL).
It's called "Adopt a trail".
Trails are the threads the connect our towns, valleys, the lives of the people that live and have lived our mountains.
The maintenance of these trails is voluntary, every section has to clean, track and do a yearly maintenance on hundreds of km.

@hiking That's why this section has decided to ask for help and let people "adopt" one or more trails.
You choose your (or yours), hike 2-3 times a year, check if everything is in order and then fill a form to let the section plan their work.
I adopted 2 in one of my favourite areas, around the Giau Pass. I spent a lot of my childhood hiking here, and it just felt natural to choose them.
