@randahl the dead are dead, and it seems to me that Putin has been at the spearhead of denying Ukraine any sort of ownership over the traditional identity of the Rus, and this terrible destruction would seem to fit the bill. He is the only Grand Figure of Russia who would be allowed to exist at the end of it all. All other moments of history are rewritable.
