I reworked the menu of my card game so you start a game by playing a card. Thought this was cool, and I don't remember seeing this in any other games.

Have I missed something? Is this actually a bad idea?

The game is called Corpus et Spiritus, and it's an alchemy deckbuilder with combat.

You signed a pact with a demon, and it was a bad idea… Gather rare metals, then use your workshop to transform them into powerful cards and magical talismans. Find the best combos and break out of the pact before your partner kills you!

@adngdb It’s very cool, but aren’t people going to try and click them instead of dragging them? Also, how obvious and/or forgiving is the area where one is supposed tu put the card?

@boreal_stars Clicking a card works as well, so that should be fine. It's live actually, and no one has complained about it! :P

You can see the drop area being highlighted when the card is dragged. I spent quite some time fine-tuning it for Dawnmaker, my previous game, and just copied the behavior here. Again no one ever complained about it! :)

@adngdb Oh, it works by clicking, too! And I was wondering if that was the drop area that was highlighted, 'cause it's big :D Well I don't see why it wouldn't be a good idea then! =)
