Scrolling through some older snaps, I came across some pictures I took of Roxette during their performance at Suikerrock in Tienen, Belgium, on July 31 2011.

Marie was battling with a brain tumor, which brought her an incredible challenge during the last years of her life. But, she didn't give up, she worked hard, and she did what she loved until she wasn't allowed to do so anymore... She passed away on December 9th 2019.

Her music still brings me much love and joy... She may have passed, but her music will always stay 🎶 🕯️ 🪽

@PixysSnaps @PixysJourney I bet that was a really good gig. I actually found myself wondering what happened to her a few months ago and was upset to learn of her passing - she was a great singer who deserved more recognition, I feel. 😔

It really was! Marie fought so hard to be able to sing and tour again, after she had the surgery for the tumor in her brain. She had to learn so much again, and she did it! She gave us more beautiful songs and memories, until the doctors told her that her touring days were over. 😢 She was a really lovely and kind lady, and her voice and personality were just beautiful. I still listen to Roxette a lot... They were my favorite band when I was growing up, and I still love their music now. 🎶💜
