Iridescent clouds around the Sun at the stone marker pillar one Gallo-Roman league (2.2km) south of Lopodunum, present day Ladenburg.

Erected in 222CE under 13 year old Roman emperor, Severus Alexander, it has seen many mighty empires come & go, & many powerful men who could not conceive of a world without them.

Likewise, the Sun has seen the rise & fall of many species, & will outlive humankind.

This too shall pass.
