DaveyChild-led does indeed seem to be good for all kids, but extrinsic motivation is often a non-starter for autistic kids, where it would work fine for others.
For instance if a kid has a PDA profile for autism, an extrinsic motivation like "you can have a bun after" can become "if you don't do this there's no bun", and that's a demand, and can have the opposite of the desired effect.
