🇨🇦 Exciting news from the Linux Association of Canada!

We're proud to announce that we are beginning the launch of local chapters across Canada.

Our goal is simple: bring Linux users, open-source enthusiasts, developers, students, educators, and technology advocates together in their local communities. Whether you're just starting your Linux journey or have been contributing to open source for years, there's a place for you.

@linuxassociation does your association get a website or something at least?
@dckim linuxassociation.ca

@linuxassociation you could also further link it in your bio page on mastodon, and then to get the 'green light' you just need to link your mastodon account there. That goes well for validating the connection between this account and the website.

Solid! Then we make Canada convert to Linux! Only Deb-Ian though.

@linuxassociation also... I just noticed this, and it must have slipped through somehow. The CN Tower is not in the prairies at all.

If you were true Canadians you would have known that!

AHA! Imposters!

(i'm kidding, and i apologize sirs and ma'ams)

@dckim 😂 Fair point! We can confirm the CN Tower is definitely not roaming the prairies.

In our defense, Canada is very large, and sometimes landmarks get promoted to "national mascot" status and start showing up everywhere. 🇨🇦🍁

We'll turn in our honorary Canadian toques at the door and report for remedial geography lessons immediately. 😅

@linuxassociation , well at least put a beaver into the picture, maybe like just line up the national animals there an whatnot... it'll be like a Canadian zoology lineup.

Never not wearing a toque, because you don't wanna be suspicious right. People sense unCanadianess... So, you wanna blend in. It also doesn't hurt if you are currently holding the flag.

The picture could have the Canada flag mounted on the CN tower directly.

Just random hockey stick also... anywhere

@linuxassociation i sincerely apologize for my continued unnecessary replies.
