I wanted to come back to this, because I think what @randahl has done here is praiseworthy on two levels:

First off, when he discovered that the clip was AI, he didn’t bury his oversight--or quietly delete it; he came back and edited the post to acknowledge it--which Mastodon's architecture ensures all of us who interacted with the original GET NOTIFIED OF, so now we know that WE got taken in TOO...and, thanks to the specificity of Randahl's edit, have a clue to an action ("a proper frame by frame check") that we could research & apply when WE were suspicious of OTHER clips in the future.

But second, HE LEFT THE CLIP UP, because the truth is that whether this event happened, or was an "artistically staged re-creation"), it represents an effective #CognitiveWarfare meme that is useful to inspire and motivate public resistance to the #TurdReich's narrative of fascist omnipotence. In the old days, we just needed a studio and professional actors to produce clips like this, against the ORIGINAL nazis--whose "final curtain" we are celebrating on this very day.
