The two most important numbers I have read this week:

In Congress, The House is proud that they have finally agreed to send $1 billion in aid to Ukraine.

At the same time, Trump has spent $50 billion on contracts given to his ballroom "sponsors".

In other words, Ukraine surviving Putin's evil invasion has been budgeted one 50th of Trump's ballroom expenses.

Priorities, ladies and gentlemen… Priorities.

@randahl Didn't it only get through the House, and is not yet to Senate and trump signing it? I thought I read that, I'd be happy to be wrong tho.
@Sablebadger you are absolutely right. I have updated the post to make this fact clear.
@randahl wouldn’t those $50b create jobs, though?
@shootingtsar @randahl If you spend them on supporting Ukraine, then yes. If you add them to the bank accounts of Trump’s friends, then no.

@shootingtsar @randahl adjusted for cost per job the number of USian jobs created by the blatant corruption is basically a rounding error, even more so when factoring how short term they'll be.

That military aid on the other hand supports a great many US jobs, and ensures US arms remain fresh and cutting edge, for better or worse.

@randahl have heard something similar myself but should 't it be 'contracts' not 'contacts'?

There are surely contacts, who gets contracts from this... sorry, early over here. 😉😉😉

@randahl Trump will go down in history as the most corrupt and self-interested President the US has ever had.
@Iveyline @randahl …add mentally ill, and ignorant. It’s wherever his selfish gluttony directs him. His one passion is conning people. 🔥🧟‍♂️
@Iveyline @randahl Or ever will have again, hopefully!
@randahl Is it truly an invasion by evil? Or is it a case of self-defense born of necessity?

@randahl

Well, I certainly dislike this administration, but hey, you didn't even cite the sources.
