A ★★½ review of Masters of the Universe (2026)

"Fisto, He fists people"-- I think that line of dialogue was originally attributed to Paddy Chayefsy or Elaine May. I can't quite remember who. More GI Joe: Rise of Cobra than Barbie, but you were expecting that. Tries to be camp and super serious at the same time and never quite figures out which lane to pick. The movie suffers for it and that two and a quarter hour runtime isn't helping things either. Jared Leto is such a bitchy queen as Skeletor. He's voice acting in another movie entirely ("Big...shiny sword") and we're here for it. Everything is serviceable
