I don't even want to talk about the Europe Union today.
Yesterday, I became very upset by recent developments with Mastodon, in which the age verification panic, Europe only, and chat control crap was being promoted by Mastodon Gmbh
It has me so upset, it made me feel so hopeless, as this is happening on an international level right now. This discovery was so upsetting that I had my first serious suicidal thought in a 19 day period. It really brought me down.
The way Europe is going right now is akin to that of a isolated authoritarian country. This is something I would expect from 🇷🇺 Russia 🇨🇳 Occupied China or 🇰🇵 North Korea, but not the 🇪🇺 European Union
We really aren't being serious enough about chat control as a society. This is basically the European equivalent of SOPA/PIPA. It is close to/just as bad. Why aren't we doing more? We should be having website blackouts (such as Wikipedia) there should be far more opposition, people should be getting voted out of office for supporting this atrocity.
