It's a scam, and most of us buy into it. We are literally paying for our own demise whilst vilifying those that would stand against it. If, generally speaking, this is what humanity has to offer, then we deserve our encroaching and inexorable extinction. Subjectively this is horrific. Objectively, this is arguably a good thing. Humans are shit. All hail our new feline overlords.
