Would you like to play a demo of my new game? Sure you would!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4377480/Burn9/

It's called "Burn-9," a turn-based tactical visual novel. You're the operator directing a super soldier fighting for her life in a secret Antarctic military base.

The demo is short but our game director and author, my nephew, has a very long story to tell once we're all done.

Let me know what you think! And if you find a bug, please let me know because I'm the QA lead. 😊

Burn-9 on Steam

A spy thriller where you’re not the spy. Safe behind your screen, guide the last survivor of an elite black-ops team in a desperate attempt to salvage a mission gone horribly wrong. Caught between military command and your agent, information is your greatest weapon.

@lisamelton got me all excited just to get slapped with Windows only. Will it eventually be available for Linux?

@axolotl Yes, the plan is to have it native on Linux and Mac, too.

Currently it works perfectly well if you install it on Linux and enable Steam's built-in Proton emulation layer for Windows.

@lisamelton didnt even know that was an option. Thanks! Ill check that out.
@axolotl Let me know if you need help with that.
@lisamelton im sure i can look it up, but ill let you know if i hit any snags. Iv used linux most of my life but at a low level. I assumed you needed a windows emulator like wine or something like that.

@axolotl Recent versions of Steam for Linux have Windows emulation built into them. You do have to enable it from Steam settings. And often some tweaks are required for certain games to work. See:

https://www.protondb.com/

...for what those tweaks might be if you run into problems.

But many other Steam games also have native Linux versions available.
