If not for cost reasons, have you considered a crowdfunding campaign to get one happening?
I'd really like to move to AliasVault, but the main thing holding me back is that there isn't any clear indication that the security is robust, which is absolutely critical for a project like this.
@Blort Yes, an independent security audit is already on our roadmap. We've been speaking with several reputable external auditors and plan to schedule the audit around the full 1.0 release.
We are accepting open donations but given the cost of a comprehensive audit, we expect to fund most of it ourselves.
We've also had multiple independent security researchers audit our codebase, with findings responsibly disclosed and addressed through our disclosure program.
