Which fictional character would fit into your main cast?

I guess other creators or IP's fictional characters are ment?

Every Star Fleet Member from Star Trek's Main Universe seems well equipped to deal with this situation.

Even if the setting is more dark, closer to Mass Effect & others.

Getting into a space travel dimensional shift, in which everything is uncanny similar, but totally off seems to happen to Star Fleet Personal quite often & regularly.

Shepard plus the Crew of Mass Effect's Normandy would need seconds to adjust targets, from Reaper to Eltaryn ships but overall the easiest on the long run would probably be really any Starfleet crew from Star Trek.

Maybe next in line would be SG1 from the Stargate franchise they also have a fair share of Interdimensional/Parallel Universe travel.

For my cast it would be incredibly weird, because they know all the franchises that exist today, at least roughly, if they survived the climate catastrophy, the 'corporate' war & the Eltaryn attack so they know about Stargates, the Enterprise, Space Marines etc.

The scenes would be hilarious:

"Greetings to the SSV Normandy, you have been transported into a parallel universe, please stay calm while we try to figure out what happened, in case you see a big angry bug like ship, shoot on side they are similar dangerous to a Reaper or Collector ship."

"Dear Captain Sisko you and the USS Defiant have been transported into another universe, no we have no expirience with such stuff, but we somehow know about you. Please follow a slightly more moderate first contact procedure, no we have no Warp drive but equal tools at our disposal. If you see an insectoid ship, open fire, your survival depends on it."

"To both crews & captains, please don't freak out if we decloak, this might seem eerily familiar but somehow wrong, thank you for collaboration, Kira Knox, U.A.I.S Ghoz'Tarc out."

Which fictional character could become your antagonist’s ally?

That is complicated...
Ayanami doesn't trust anyone they didn't recruit and even their recruiting is nebulous at best.

Why name a person with heavy memory issues your second in command?

Using a name that is among the most common names in the whole galaxy?

The only character I could imagine fitting into the bigger scheme is Luther Sloan if Section 31 from Star Trek Deep Space Nine since you don't actually know if he works for the good or is inherently evil.

One might think that the Illusive Man, Miranda Lawson or Kai Leng from the Mass Effect Universe would fit but Ayanami would most likely not trust any of them further as the next airlock.

Last time I wrote wasn't really about emotions. Maybe confusion at best if I squeeze my eyes.

As a note because it was an afterthought that the character might be confused.

Last time I wrote an emotion as in I try to make the character emotionally relatable I have no clue.😅

MC POV: Describe your perfect morning vs your regular morning.

"I wake up in my beautiful Penthouse apartment in Dinohattan, on the 70th floor. It's a clear and sunny day, my muscles are only covered with a thin Kumo Silk, fresh Water and a good decaf coffee waiting in the Kitchen where Peach waits for me. She wears her beautiful sleeping dress with the Pink elements that screams high princess. Her sleeping mask with the printed crown sits on her forehead, she already is eating and reads the newspaper. Fresh croissants are backing in the tiny oven.

Instead I wake up, in my shitty one pipe apartment, in Donktown, where half the district is torn down by King Robert Koopa Bowser himself, wearing my shirt from yesterday, my dungarees and workboots.
Because I fell asleep, worrying how to pay my rent, because my brother hasn't paid me in 3 months and my lander could burst in every moment finding me, seemingly passed out, like one of the Ganja Idiots, with a stupid super fungi on the table.

I haven't touched this shit since Daisy and I parted ways, because
I try to get my shit show of a life together.
You know I feel like a looser in this stupid hole in the ground, like a shadow, empty glass... No the empty supper Mario of the Luigi Brothers...

Who is your most visually stunning character? How do others react to them?

Most of my characters are ment to pop out on a screen in an instant if you see them depicted. So... 🤷🏿‍♂️

Does your MC have strengths that others see as weaknesses?

That higly depends on the onlookers and as it is with many people in our 'real' world, what others see as weaknesses or exploitable differ greatly from person to person.
I honestly don't think that there is the one weak spot people will fall for manipulation or exploitation.

Rapid decompression of atmosphere, that is sucked outside the spaceship.

What a breathtaking expirience.

Seriously this is why car manufacturers are p*** poor space ship designers. Everything is blinking like mad nowadays, no one registers any warning signals anymore and their persistence on electrical window openers.
Thinking about it they are also p*** poor car manufacturers this day for the same reason.

What are the next steps for your current project?

Star Ryde
Finally making the jump of finishing chapter one and ironing out the jump between it and chapter two.
I hate simple time jumps but I'm still not happy with any ideas that popped up. The current state of deus ex [insert something] for chapter two also grinds my gears because it feels lazy. I jumped ahead and worked on the later chapters but that's not really what I want at the moment.

After a nice start I'm a bit stuck on an plot exposure round that also feels half baked.

The unnamed Urban Fantasy Ghost story has an rough outline of one page but I real want to deep dive into it more.

To many fires to cook at, to many weddings to dance on.

Are your MCs influenced by pop culture in any way?

Define pop culture please.
I grew up with Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Space (was it 2099?), The Simpsons, The X-Files, Disney (and that knee), Sailor Moon, Ranma 1/2, Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Thor, Ironman, Lego etc.
My music taste has many influences especially from MTV, Viva and the early 2000, I love Reggae, Metal, Ska, Swing & Gothic genres... Almost all of that was main stream enough at one point to be considered pop culture. To say I wasn't influenced by that would be an lie. I pretty much loved Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill or Jacky Chan Movies and my guilty pleasure are action movies on which I can switch of my brain (the other are movies I need to watch several times to get everything) and a lot of my characters tend to use corny one liners at some point.
So yes all my characters have influences of pop culture of some points in time.

StarRyde:
Ariæne has definitely written more than one over their lifespan, their entire system of remembering things is based on notes they takes at the end of a day and reading them the next day.
They would need an helper to sort that stuff out.

Do to their fractured memories I think they would choose a title like:
"A fragment in time, me in the now."

Ayanami probably wouldn't even touch touch the idea because it would give insight into who might behind all of this.

Have you ever been influenced by your book, like starting a new hobby because your MC has it?

Nope and that is actually a good thing because I already have too many hobbies for any budget, well maybe not a CEO (or like I want to call them A.O.O.) budget but still.

To many hobbies not enough time, even with early retirement, not to mention my energy levels or another thing of a poor person having not enough space for all of them.
