Fauxx: Data poisoning for your everyday tracking

Fauxx is an open-source Android (@fdroidorg) privacy tool that poisons data broker and ad-tech profiles by generating continuous, plausible, off-demographic synthetic activity from your device. The goal is simple: make your real behavioral signal statistically indistinguishable from noise.

Ah, like an evolution of #adnauseam (https://adnauseam.io/) and for the whole OS. Love it!

AdNauseam - Clicking Ads So You Don't Have To

A browser extension that clicks on every blocked ad to fight advertising surveillance.

@dexternemrod nothing against AdNauseam and yes I see this as "usable" but only for the browser and not for the whole OS and that is in my opinion the main difference between the two tools.

Is this a security risk?
"loads ad-heavy pages to inject off-demographic ad signals."

Ad networks are a known vector for malware.

This functionality can be turned off though.

@kubikpixel @fdroidorg how battery and network heavy is this?
Got any long term experiences?

An interesting approach to achieve some privacy, nice but also funny.

I appreciate your work — it's well designed using AI builder, but it's only capable for ordinary people.
