Reminds me of my Partner... She hates summer cos it's too hot to wear Her compression gloves :p
@JenJen I don't think I've said this before but that's a great jacket!
@JenJen #altForYou a can of No Brand™ MADE FOR CONSUMER meat or something. The text reads OUR PHILOSOPHY IS TO HELP OUR CONSUMERS UNDERSTAND THAT THE REAL VALUE LIES IN THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT AND NOT IN THE BRAND NAME.

@JenJen

Spraygunner has their own line of airbrushing products sold as "No-Name brand" products.

@JenJen OH MY GOD I THOUGHT THIS LOOKED FAMILIAR - I'VE BEEN THERE/SEEN THESE!
@JenJen
Happy to help. Now with Alt-Text!
@JenJen Alt text for the first image: Jen's hand holding a sticker of a tired Sappho cut out from Charles Mengin's painting of her, her arm draped over the censor bar that obscures her bare chest.

@JenJen

Fixed that for you.

First is a picture of a sticker featuring a "censored" image of Sappho with a bar across her breasts that is positioned as if she is leaning on it with her left hand.

The second is a shot of a Manchester Art Gallery info plaque about the painting. It reads:

Sappho

Sappho by Auguste Charles Mengin is popular as both and artwork and as the subject of the work. Through collaborations with artists and makers we have invited different voices and responses to the work. Whether that be the censored version of Mengrin's implied femme fatale - where Sappho makes you look her in the eye by leaning on her censored bar, the playful figurine of Sappho as the idol, a Sapho the Legend bag that challenges how a painting mythicises a female historical figure, or a celebration of the artistry of a painting you can hang on your wall.

@JenJen Omg I immediately had to go look up the gallery and see if they had an online shop bc this is fantastic

@meagantrott Manchester Art Gallery saw that this painting resonates and ran with it, and the results are delightful :D A good chunk of their physical gift shop is Sappho and it's hard to be annoyed by it.

(I *am* disappointed that they didn't have a single solo book of Adolphe Valette's paintings, despite having probably the largest public collection of his work, much of which was of Manchester ;o;)

@eishiya It appears they can't ship to the US... 😭 Just one more way the current administration has made life shittier.
@JenJen They should shoot the app programmer who came up with that vertical scale. Round the numbers to human
comprehendible values please.
@JenJen Sappho. The world's first rapper. If only more of her poetry had survived...
@JenJen At least there's nudity.

@JenJen That's obviously a typo.

There's an extra 'B'.

@JenJen "Sliming herb" makes me picture a dark, dank forest, full of a mysterious undergrowth, a heroine who strays from the path, lost in the mire, and - fuck - did that move? Is that... A tentacle?!
@JenJen The ARG for the Mice Tea sequel is pretty impressive.
@JenJen My eyes skipped past your username and the cute teddy looked entirely innocent until I saw the top of your head. Damn it, Jen.
@JenJen Oooh you look so happy, have a great day :)
@JenJen aw, you look so cute together!
@JenJen A Swedish National Day treat? 🇸🇪
@JenJen awwww~ look at that frown :D
