Ursine love, part 2. I was in a melancholy mood when I saw these guys in their toy bin, and I thought of how pandas and polar bears are both threatened by climate change. So I took their photo and situated them in a Mordor-like hellscape where they could console and comfort each other, like Sam and Frodo at the end of all things.

Not my best work but I’m fond of it.😅

@bluejay I used to do photocompositing at a graphic design studio, and it’s tricky to do well.

@bluejay A friend of mine used to use a phone app—I’d have to look up the name. It may have been Collage?

@ArtGeek Cool! I used the Snapseed phone app for this.

@bluejay she used Snapseed as well. I used Photoshop because it was commercial work in a studio, and that was one app I lived in. The tools have gotten better and easier to use.

@bluejay Since a normal polar bear eats only meat and the panda is typically a vegetarian, they likely won't cross paths even as climate change progresses. But I know that IKEA polar bear—it feels incredibly good to touch. It certainly doesn't live on meat alone, but on love, too.
