The app Kindle on Windows 11 upgraded now to Kindle Legacy which expires on 30 June 2026 (no new downloads, can't read old Kindle ebooks person has purchased) then after that Microsoft Store has Amazon Kindle app with loopholes tightened up on DRM to stop people pirating ebooks. Android Kindle app will not expire. Kindle can also read its Kindle ebooks on the Web but has much poorer GUI.
