@inarticulatequilter omg, who bought Kona?
@artcollisions @inarticulatequilter Oh shit I am also learning this for the first time 😭
@swachter @artcollisions yeah, I mean I knew MS were racist shits, but the buyout I only recently learned of
@inarticulatequilter @artcollisions I was not aware of this, but I'm also not super locked in on quilt company info :/ Is there a tl;dr available?
@swachter @artcollisions sorry, I was briefly AFK. Glad you found the reddit - it does cover it well. MS also went All Lives Matter in 2020. They've been terrible for a while

@inarticulatequilter @swachter @artcollisions Somehow I missed the racism, although I knew about them being LDS, and I knew about the "support" for Kona and RK fabrics.

I've found some lovely substitutes for Kona solids. I've been using Riley Blake solids for about a year now, and I prefer RB to Kona. Unfortunately, Kona has about the most extensive color collection I've ever seen for solid fabrics. I wish other companies would step up.
