Go home NYT, you're drunk
@jfslowik did an ai write the article? hah
@jfslowik
the NYT? breathlessly sharing incorrect shit in favor of oligarchs? NO WAY
@Dio9sys
Di, there will be nine TRILLION open cybersec jobs by the end of the year I hear
@jfslowik

@chillybot

@jfslowik

And they will all be writing polymorphic agentic Mythos-class exploits powered by Claude of course!

@Dio9sys @chillybot @jfslowik there will eventually be a need for people who can "unfuck what AI did", that's kinda something?

@iagox86

@chillybot @jfslowik

It is honestly impressive how well the AI bubble is teeing itself up for a mountain of repair work once it pops

@Dio9sys @iagox86 @chillybot @jfslowik There was that toot recently about, "Remember when we first discovered radium, and we started putting it in EVERYTHING, and then we learned how it's really not good and a lot of people paid the price"?

Or, asbestos.

Or, lead.

Or, chlorofluorocarbons.

Or, PFAS.

Or, or, or.

But yeah, software is having A Moment. And there is definitely an emerging specialty in vulnerability research already, tailored at 'finding the kinds of bugs and flaws that LLMs produce in code'. This is distinctly separate from other disciplines of vuln research (like how there are low-level protocol people, and application-layer/webapp people, now there is a new branch of specialization).

anyway. preaching to the choir I imagine. just wild to witness the changing landscape.

@chillybot @Dio9sys @jfslowik Can I take 3 of them?

Having 3 different layered health insurance providers might mean we can afford to be healthy!
