@mhoye Getting all of us fired for lack of funding probably won’t help a lot, but I get that this is about the only lever folks have. :/

@bd808 @mhoye That would be an excuse to fire you. "The Wikimedia Endowment is a permanent fund that generates income to support the Wikimedia Projects in perpetuity" how much do they really need individual donations?

@mhoye @nicolas17 The endowment is designed to provide enough money via dividends to pay for essential services and infrastructure in times of crisis. The entire endowment was $169M at the end of the 2025 fiscal year. The Wikimedia Foundation booked $191M in expenses in the 2025 fiscal year.
