Has anybody been trying out #fluxer? if so, what are your thoughts? IMHO it has a lot of potential. The UX design of #discord but with #AGPL back end. If this turns out the way I hope, I may switch to it from #matrix as there the UX can be a bit clunky at best, and frustrating at other times. Fluxer might be the sweet middle ground

@techcelt

I stay on Matrix because UX can be fixed, but centralized architecture requiring to migrate all friends over again when provider does something wrong cannot.

@techcelt yh matrix is great but i can get overwhelmed by the UX in no time. This Fluxer app looks promising
@DerickNose Yeah it does indeed. Already showing a lot of promise despite the "public beta" status
@DerickNose Matrix comes across as a list of features that a bunch of software engineers listed "wouldn't it be cool if this was a thing? yeah!! and this other thing" and they didn't take a step back and think about how it would be implemented as a cohesive whole. The new user onboarding is not intuative for a lot of people. I, myself, have struggled with it a few times and I have heard first hand reports from people who try to join the community I run on Matrix. It's an extra thing to "manage"
@techcelt dude this registration was actually 2 secs. Checked their GitHub even that’s promising AF. Is this too good to be true? I’ll defo keep an eye out
