Australia Post Issues Scam Warning: “If They Knock On Your Door, It’s Not Us” — The Shovel

Australia Post issued a statement reminding customers that they will never leave a parcel, and that the only way to know that it’s a genuine Australia Post delivery is to check your letterbox for a ‘Sorry We Missed You’ card.

*I'm laughing 'cos it's funny but in all honesty, my local Australia Post delivery is excellent- I guess because I'm not in one of the major cities. 👏

@pelicangut also if they then deliver it to the nearest post office instead of the one in one suburb over, not them.

@pelicangut oh, and an actual “sorry we missed you” card is also a pretty clear giveaway it’s not them, in my experience

@pelicangut @MelissaBearTrix We have had a PO Box since 2012, because AusPost was consistently dropping our packages in the driveway with no notification, or simply not even bothering to get out of the truck - something that was caught on camera eight times. Each time we complained, they defended their lazy arse posties.
