Kakao labor, management hold second mediation at Gyeonggi labor commission

Kakao’s union and management will hold a second mediation meeting on May 27 at the Gyeonggi Provincial Labor Relations Commission, a step seen as the final hurdle to securing a legal right to strike at headquarters. The sides failed to narrow gaps in the first mediation on pay rises and performance rewards. If mediation ends without agreement and the panel halts mediation, the HQ union would obtain strike rights, raising the possibility of a group-wide joint general strike.
