I put a tiny used bookstore in my yarn shop because nobody stopped me

@hannah

"Ethiopian Magic Scrolls"?!?!?!

@hannah *zooms in*
Principles of punched card data… what?
@hannah add a tiny coffee house and you win the trifecta.
@emma sadly that requires a different kind of business license

@hannah @emma Is that true if you’re not selling the coffee, but just happen to have a jar for contributions towards free coffee?

When I was 15, in New York, I talked the manager of my local Waldenbooks in to offering coffee for free at their store.

@hannah Nice! I just looked at the Instagram and the illustrations in ‘Wind, Sand and Stars’ are incredible! 😯
@hannah i love how prominently you've placed this one
@wolfteeth it’s a 1st edition! I had to hide the cover because it’s too scary
@hannah @wolfteeth I never got to the bottom of whether Whitley Streiber actually believes in aliens/visitors or not.
@hannah good move. The kind of people who like yarn probably also like book
@hannah Very cool! but i hope you are careful with inspections on all of those used books before bringing them in. I wouldn't want your yarn store to get accidentally infested with any insects who may be hiding/harboring in those used books. Don't ask me how i know 😭
@hannah
I see how it is: You lure people in with random old books, and then catch their interest with a skein of teal amano. 😉
@hannah I would totally give Illinois Architecture a read but sadly I'm in NY.
@hannah Can I sit in the corner there and knit while I glance at them? Because that is cozy as heck.
