One of the first things I look at when I see a new #ttrpg is the character sheet. It showcases a lot about the game in a simple glance: are there skills? levels? one page or many? tetris inventory?

What the game focus on is usually visible on the character sheet. So it annoys me when the game page doesn't have a sheet somewhere easy to see. Please, if you're making a page for your game, SHOW THE FREAKING CHARACTER SHEET!

And to show that I practice what I preach, here are the pages for my #ttrpg with their character sheets:

@ivancoluchi agreed. it is to TTRPGs like a database schema is to software
@ivancoluchi I mean, on the one hand, me too; I'll look at a character sheet first when evaluating a new game. On the other hand, working on a Good Society focused game there literally is no character sheet; a main character fits comfortably on a business card since they're just name, role, background, desire, relationships (with two other MCs), connections (who have their own brief character sheet), and reputation.
I might design a sheet eventually, but I need a good hook.
