The other thing I got out of Noah Hawley’s elegantly written piece was that the question he most heard was “Why am I here?”. Not “Why was I invited?”, not “Why did I accept?”, but “Why am I here?”. I thought that was… interesting.

@Su_G in my newsletter today I described it as Jeff Bezos's Gathering of the Egos, but it's more like a reflection of Bezos's ego, or a menagerie of things he collected. It's extremely interesting that the attendees asked that specific question. They knew why they were invited: fame, power, etc. I guess they hadn't grasped that they were Pokemon?
