Got a buncha stuff.

Dungeon Crawler Carl book 8, which is FUCKING HUGE, 688 pages. WTF. It's thicker than a Dungeon Crawl Classics doorstop.

B/X reprints look great, B back cover's a little blurry? X has 1981 TSR catalog in color! B1 map's a little fuzzy, scan not remake. B2 map's stuck in the margin a bit, but it's usable & sharper. B4's lovely. X1's lovely but world map's pinched in the margin. X2… map is on the inside covers, but one column is completely blocked out.

It's very nice having these in print, in good copies instead of 50-year-old smoke/cat-piss-stained used. Perfect bound is *MUCH* better than the stapled legal page almost-samizdat quality of the originals.

B1's actually all in color, it's just very slightly yellowed scan. There's pencilled X marks on the map scan, LOL. It looks like it SHOULD smell of smoke or worse. But, it's a good tutorial adventure.

I think Hasbro coulda done an editorial pass on these & fixed some design, but: β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†

Inside the hardcover dust cover of DCC 8, there is a SECRET MESSAGE for only the in-crowd.

& there's a recap chapter, which is great, narrated by Samantha. Uh.

"Yes, yes, little joey!" the boss shouted as he spied me. He remained on his back. "Come to papa's pouch! It's warm & safe & oh so moist!"

> I gave the fire fairy an uneasy look. She was acting strangely depressed. She'd stopped talking about us killing Hellik. I suspected this had to do with the conversation in the shop. All NPCs acted differently when they first came into contact with a fully awakened NPC like Akuma. She kept raising her finger, like she was about to say something regarding it, & then she changed her mind.

I'll never look at Don Quixote & "the windmill" the same way again.

But I don't understand the name Corcunda. Yeah, hunchback, but that's a very different novel.

Vale.

DCC 8 finished!

Chekov's Love Potion is like a gun, but with worse consequences. "Boop!"

Long excessive exposition chunks, mostly filling in things we kinda knew about the Primals by implication & in passing since Book 2 when Carl became one.

This is the 1st I've got in hardcover, has bonus chapter. Now I need the rest to know WTF.

ALSO, I set a text replacement for (DCC) to Dungeon Crawler Carl & it doesn't (hasn't yet?) activated. I'm super pissed at slow-ass macos sometimes.
