Has anyone figured out how to hack a #Kindle so it works with #Libby?
@crispius I use a Kobo rather than a Kindle, but I have several friends who read Libby books from the Winnipeg Public Library on Kindles. This is the WPL's help info about it https://help.libbyapp.com/en-us/6027.htm. Does your Library seem to think it isn't possible?
Why can't I send a book to Kindle?

@Plumbert
Honestly, I haven’t tried. I was under the impression it didn’t work, but maybe I was thinking of Overdrive.

I’ll check out your instructions, thanks.

@crispius @Plumbert

Libby is the APP owned by Overdrive. You can borrow straight from your Kobo anywhere. In the US (only) they will send books to your kindle but I'm not sure how that works … (Kindles don't sideload, right?)

@drakakis
Correct. They used to allow side loads but disabled it somewhere along the way.

@Plumbert
Hmm. My searching says it’s a not-in-Canada thing. I wonder how your friends are doing it?
@crispius Hmmm, don't know. Will try to find out
