The cabinet guys came and did a ton of work today.

At the end of the day they told me my water supply lines aren’t tall enough and they needed to be extended by tomorrow. WELL good thing I’ve been studying for this.

My first four sweat joints, and first two shark bite stoppers are a success. No leaks! Yayyyyyy!

Feeling super proud and already having air in our lines I decided to replace the washing machine supply valves, too. They are original to the house and one was a little leaky. I cut them off, buffed them out and used shark bites on those. Low risk with leaks given its basement and it’s all exposed down there. I even used tapcons to keep them secure. So much winning at #DisOldHouse

@User47 you’re a rockstar
@User47 I'm impressed——and envious you can do this!
@JimHindsKC I’m kind of blown away at no leaks. I was not happy with my first two joints. But hey, it’s a win in my book. Weeee
@User47 I hate plumbing. I’ll tackle wiring and a lot of other home improvement tasks but things that leak? Hate, hate, hate.
@DanMorgan Well, I thought I did. I need to install a water softener soonish and the success of last night was the shot in the arm that I needed. Whew!
