Attempting to scrape the saddle to fit bed ways for my CNC mini lathe. On YouTube it seemed so much easier :) I feel like it is super easy to mis-interpret the spotting marks - ink piling in the low spots and leaving false imprints.

I made a simple micrometer mounting plate, and now I can finally measure what I’m doing. Even with this makeshift setup, it’s a huge confidence boost to know that I’m moving in the right direction. :)
Getting there! The v-slot is very difficult to both spot and scrape, but overall I am getting to somehow satisfactory fit. :)
I’m calling it good enough. The v-slot is far from perfect, but I had trouble spotting it reliably. Not only that, scraping there was difficult enough that at this point I’m afraid of making it worse.
After all, given where we started, I’m happy with the results!
