β€œIt looks like your adblocker is interfering with the intended operation of this site”

Oh so you admit that people reading your articles is just a byproduct of showing them ads?

@olivvybee noooooo, it just ruins the checks notes cohesive identity of the site
@nyanbinary @olivvybee The banner ads really tie the page together, you know?

@olivvybee

"We and our 1,232 interested partners" sounds like the worst, most unwanted gangbang ever.

@angiebaby @olivvybee immediate cursed thought that came to my mind unbidden and unwanted, but will not be silenced: "me and my 1232 advertising partners saw you across the webpage and really liked your vibe-"
@olivvybee reading your articles? I think not πŸ™‚
@olivvybee What makes me burst into laughter are the requests like "We will share your personal and detailed data with 1271 very trusted partners that we individually cherry picked and kissed on the forehead, do you agree?"
@olivvybee i mean yeah basically. lol I shouldn't have to disable my ad blocker just so you can make your profits
@olivvybee Maybe if they didn't pack their website with 20 times as many ads as actual content, with ads literally blocking the content, then we wouldn't need the blockers.
@olivvybee Websites that are drive my CPU to 100% doing who knows what with their invasive tracking code will find one less visitor to their site, me.
@olivvybee i got this and it was because of my VPN, once i disabled that my ad blocker worked fine and i got a prompt asking me to enable ads i could dismiss. cool beans.
@olivvybee "Thank you for verifying that my system is working as intended"
