I think the thing that's been low key bothering me about "introduce yourself with ten bands you've seen live" is the assumed universality. (And it should be noted that 50% of my TL on the subject today was people like me who have seen less than ten live shows total, and the other 50% is like two or three threads with a lot of overlapping users.)

And also, it lends itself to choosing examples to impress people; my answer included a reference to a local band's tasteless song about being living in a historically black denver neighborhood that was being gentrified, but how many people actually understood why bragging about being "white boys in five points" is a bad look?
