Happy May Long Weekend to all who celebrate..lol Same as every week I'll be working Sat/Sun but not Monday. Usually long weekends mean we're extra crazy at work but with the weather this wknd who knows? We were forecast 2 cm of snow overnight changing to rain but we only had a few minutes of scattered snowflakes just now. Original forecast 7C for today now saying 10. I just hope we actually do get precipitation-planted some peas and potatoes this week.

And you have nearly the same climate like in eastern France, hey. 🤭 After 2 very cold days with snow on the mountains, temperatures will climb again next week.

@NatureMC Yes, very much like an alpine climate here ( I am around 1000 m, but not in the mountains!) We had a couple of weeks of high teens to over 20C and slight frost or a little over freezing at night.. now a couple of days near/below 10 then back to mid/high teens. I don't really care if there is frost, but I do hope we get some rain-- today nothing happened!

@ScribblersEmporium hope they make it! Are they usually tender? I only have Nanking Cherries (not flowering yet) and they are rarely if ever affected by frost.

These are semi-sweet full sized cherries and are destined to become jam, juice, and pies. We adore them. The two trees weren't full in bloom yet, so we still have hope. They have not liked late frosts in the past, so the snow and cold causes us concern.

@Katzedecimal just overcast here till late afternoon, then sun and cloud... chance of rain tomorrow, hope it happens (my interest is soil and plants, camping is not my concern...lol)
