Oh this is going to be quite something - kids are back at it after dinner - and the front, palm side of hands are getting done too
Quick preview now, more when it's all done.
Not sure how/when Kid1 is going to sleep (the longer it stays on the better, darker it'll stain) - perhaps with gloves on.
And it's done!
Here's the palm side of Kid1's hands - #HennaArt by kid2
(And no glove won't work as I guessed earlier - what do I know - that would trap moisture, and smudge design)
Came back to see the done/removed henna on Kid1's hand
(One finger and thumb didn't stain so well, and that was henna from a new tube - hmm does it have to oxidize first a bit to work better?)
And with Kid1's henna done, Kid2 does her own hand now.
Just posted the start earlier ๐๐ฝ , but I didn't conclude Friday night Kid2's self #HennaArt as it got late and kid2 didn't want the pic out till the henna came off the next day.
And then the weekend got busy, but/so here you go now, you too can enjoy Kid1's self #henna
(Stopping/ending this thread here)
Kid2's #Henna #HennaArt๐งต contd
Partner's and my hands from this evening
And mine after the final bit that I requested.
Why yes, that is the structure of lawsone that is responsible for the stain

(thanks to Kid2, see ๐๐ฝ)
Kid2 henna-ed a new 'friend' who got #henna for the first time. Said friend, who works in a nail salon, did kid2's nails last week. First time Kid2 got her nails done - excitedly so, as she doesn't have to play piano for 2 weeks. She got a cat eye design (and the process was "just like the videos on Instagram"!!)
