Friday evening Kid2 getting Christmassy on her own hand and arm
After decorating kid1's hand (see 👆🏽), Kid2 decided she wanted do decorate her own hand with this henna cone. Not the most elaborate on herself but still a delight. She likes how this stains well.

Little did I know when kid2 started this on kid1's hand that it would turn out like THAT!!

Most people living in Ouadane depend primarily on agriculture and livestock-raising, but gathering also has its place. This woman collects leaves of henna, used to treat headaches and to bathe newborns. The leaf powder (dried, ground and sieved) is used to prepare the henna paste used for traditional tattoos.
