Utrecht is great; I miss that city.
If you like beers, I highly recommend visiting Kafé België as they have a wide variety of specialty beers, both on tap as in bottles, along with a sampler of 4x10cl beers from a selection of their draught beers. They also have some bar snacks; I recommend their house grilled cheese sandwich the "Tosti België" which is made with a herb compound butter, red onion, and cheese.
(At least I hope the pub has upheld their quality; it's probably been close to a decade since I last visited...)

@algernon as it's a pub, they won't be allowed to sell unopened bottles, but there are probably plenty of specialty beer shops and liquor stores ("slijterij") with a good enough selection. :)

I do have some recommendations of beers you could bring for your wife though:
- Kriek lambic, fermented lambic with sour Morello cherries. Or a Lambic Framboise which uses raspberries instead of cherries
- Barbār, a Belgian honey ale.
- Palm Speciále, a Belgian Pale Ale.
- St. Bernardus Abt 12 a strong 10% ABV top-fermentented Quadruple. A nice one to spend a while enjoying in peace, rather than chugging 😅
- One of the Rochefort beers; I think I liked the 8 best.
- A Maredsous blonde or brown.
- I also really enjoyed Chimay but I can't remember which of their styles was my favourite. Probably the blonde and the brown.
- Mongozo also has some interesting beers; their Banana, Coconut, and Mango ones were some of my favourites.
- La Trappe Witte Trappist for a 'witbier' or wheat beer style. Or Jopen Adriaan or IJwit alternatively.
As I'm not fond of IPA style beers, I don't have suggestions for these unfortunately:)
