This was taken from Amherst Island. Those turbines along the horizon are on Wolfe Island, which had turbines for years before Amherst Island.
This was taken in, obviously, very crappy lighting, but I loved the silhouettes, so took the image anyway and ditched the colour for a more harmonizing sepia. :)
@CStamp what kind are the birds?
Edit - I saw your comment in another photo that that is a migratory path for birds. That's what that looks like, a great flock of birds going north (or south in the fall).
I live in Wisconsin where the lakes and marshes provide waterfowl habitat so we see a lot of birds passing through, and some staying. The pelicans are back on Lake Winnebago for the summer ...
