NELA Weekly Action is on hold this week so we can join Join us downtown LA for the NO Concentration Camps statewide day of action! Gather at the Federal building for a Rally and then March around the block for a protest at the Metropolitan Detention Center. Those who wish can then join the caravan to Adelanto Detention Center in San Bernadino, leaving from MOCA Parking lot under the Barbara Kruger'sword wall work. Stand in solidarity against Federal overreach and private profit from senseless human suffering. With a presence at ICE facilities across the state, we will bring ICE in CA back into the National conversation We must raise our voices, educate our communities and demand that our state and local elected leaders (and candidates!) SHUT THEM DOWN. We are also supporting our communities with a donation dropoff every week to support NELA Distribution, the IDEPSCA workers center, the Jornaleros, vendors, and neighbors in the area. We will be connecting people to the NELA Centro Community Self Defense as well.
