Do you know a game engine/tool/Twine template that would allow my students to make a Reings-like without spending too much time on the code? #InteractiveFiction #Reigns #GameDev
@Yakkafo Creating hundreds of Tinder accounts for each choice in the game? 😂
@Yakkafo this sounds like Twine territory; engines like Inform only really make sense if the player is going to have more interaction beyond “swipe left/right”
@kzurawel yes, + harlowe has a storylet function that could really do the job. I'm just hoping someone has already coded a template, but I could probably do that by myself if needed.

@Yakkafo I *started* a Twine template several years back, as a demo for my little SugarCube storylet library, but it was more involved than I thought (there's like the dueling bits and other things that aren't strictly card-based), and the whole thing didn't fit Twine quite as well as I thought so I dropped it...

But nothing insurmountable; I could probably get it to a working state fairly quickly if you don't turn up anything else. What's your timeframe?

I also wonder about paper prototyping: wasn't there a physical Reigns card game?

@Yakkafo dĂ©jĂ  en train de prĂ©parer les cours de l'annĂ©e prochaine ? đŸ€©
@leonardbertos lol, c’est dans 2 semaines đŸ€Ą
@Yakkafo https://joshuagrams.github.io/tiny-qbn/ tiny QBN is a good starting point, but I guess you already know it?
TinyQBN

A storylets library for Twine2/Sugarcube.

@MartinRgt I didn’t know, thank you for sharing! I feel like it replicates already existing functions from Harlowe đŸ€”
