6:00AM: 44F, clouds are breaking up a bit.

Showers today, clouds this week, rain/showers mid-week on.

In short, a Sitka spring...at least these days.

@SilverSalmonAK I’m banking on it to be cloudy these two days cause I gotta harvest Cedar Bark. But apparently it takes two years to cure. I wasn’t thrilled about that news of what my teacher told me. So I’m going to need a lot of it this year. Gotta go both ends of the road for this Pepper🐾 Adventures
@Pepper 2 years? Wow!
@SilverSalmonAK yeah I’m not trilled about that info. But when I try to harvest devils club that’s even longer to dry. 4 or 5 years. Cause what I’d like to try is making a frame out of it but it takes that long to dry out. But before I do that I need more info about harvesting and the proper procedures. So I can do it correctly. It’s completely new to me so yeah I’d like to get it done right
@Pepper Really interesting! Thanks for sharing.
@SilverSalmonAK well I just learned I gotta wait till it gets warmer. Like 60’s or so cause the the sap is too sticky for the Cedar Bark
