European Commission has updated its follow buttons.
✅ Mastodon and Bluesky are in;
⛔ X, Facebook, YouTube are out.
(Only when you scroll all the way down, FB and YT are still there, but no longer X.)

@AliceStollmeyer But they still list 453 EU-related X-accounts.

EU Commission has a duty to inform EU citizens without discrimination.
Unfortunately EU people are still using X, it is not banned.

Attached: 1 image Excited to announce that the @[email protected] has updated it's follow buttons on the website footer! What's that first platform there? Could that be #Mastodon? And where did the link to #X go? All the posts and comments here on Mastodon calling for this, trust me we read them! #SocialMedia #EU #EuropeanCommission #FollowUs
Thanks for spreading the voice!
That's a small but significant step in the right direction.
PS: this is the original announcement:

Anyway it's great that mastodon is listed.
@AliceStollmeyer bluesky is just a mirror of X. As a European (and American) it's disappointing for me to see the EU commission choosing sides of the US puppet show.
It's like positrons and negatrons. It's a similar thing. People are tired of it.
