“Unskilled Jobs” are a classist myth used to justify POVERTY WAGES

@grrlscientist ask any politician how much money it would take for them to perform any of those jobs year in and year out. That's probably the real wage those jobs should have. (Then ask any of those workers how much money it would take for them to perform the job of a politician or business man and that's probably the real wage paper pushers should have too.)
@grrlscientist
My late sister worked as a cleaner in a psychiatric hospital. She handled large electrical equipment, various chemicals and had to enter locked wards.
Unskilled is an insult to many workers

@grrlscientist carpentry is specifically defined as 'skilled labour', and the trades are generally paid very well, depending on region and union affliliations. Amost all of what is being shown there is unionized. The poverty wages are actually in both union and non-union.

The only picture there that seems like poverty might be the seasonal agricultural labouring. That is generally performed by immigrants for lower wages and in poor conditions.

Of course inflation has effected all of these...

@grrlscientist Ain't nuthin' more unskilled than senior management.
