@davidrevoy that last panel of now/later is PERFECT! these are great illustrations (drawing and education-wise) of stuff we all deal with online. great work!!!
@davidrevoy Meilleure métaphore ever.

Twist: There was no treasure in the end
@jherazob @davidrevoy the real treasure was the data we gave up along the way 🫶
@davidrevoy brilliant, but the last panel is absolutely perfect!
I'm absolutely gonna have to snatch that fourth panel for reacting to you know who

@davidrevoy

I truly dig that we have a talented artist who also understand the modern worlds enshitification.

Nothing communicates better or stronger than art.

@davidrevoy If you wait for the moonshine at some specific time of the year, a small inscription in elfic appears on the wall, revealing a spell that enables continuing to the treasure without accepting the trap.
@davidrevoy The last panel should have had "maybe later" with like an incredibly long and tedious staircase or something ending in a open door to the trap.

The Dark patterns are sure real. Thanks again for your nice comics all the time
@davidrevoy Absolutely brilliant.
@davidrevoy
Damn it, just jump in the trap to finish the bloody prologue!🤪

@davidrevoy

It’s like seedy anime sites and YouTube mp3 converters. They do what they promise - but WILL try to trick you into downloading a virus. At this point it’s almost a greeting.

I try to extract a song and it goes: « free VPN installer tonight perhaps ? » « Free VPN installer tonight, queen ? »

And I’m like: « you sly dog, you know why I’m here. Show me the goods. »

And the converter goes: « ahhh you got me. Worth a try tho. Here you go, king. »

@christerk @davidrevoy
If you put in the effort to get yt-dlp installed and working, you will never need to deal with YouTube mp3 converters again. And if your offline music player can handle .opus files, you also never need to deal with any mp3 converters - just enjoy the higher quality audio and smaller file sizes.
@christerk @davidrevoy did you steal this from somewhere else? I could have sworn I have seen this post elsewhere. Please attribute
@davidrevoy "Now/Later" is fantastic 😂
@davidrevoy  i love your drawings

@davidrevoy perfection.

For me those dark patttern contracts for cookies and software license agreements always feel a little like those infamous deals with the devil.

@davidrevoy This would be great for media education at school. Hope they'll start picking up your comics for that! Or are there any doing that already?

He felt a stir behind him, a breath of air. At his elbow a voice said, "I am Trap the Unavoidable."

@davidrevoy forgive me, I saw the timelapse and I apologize for the judgement jump
@davidrevoy I really like flipping through the panels on mobile. It's more of a story this way. :)
