Russia's Defense Ministry posted a list of companies across Europe that are reportedly linked to the production of the drones Ukraine fires at Russia. According to Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Medvedev, these sites are "potential targets." https://t.me/mod_russia/62686
Earlier in the day, Zelensky and Merz surveyed new drone models, including the Linza 3.0 (the first joint Ukrainian-German production). Ukraine and Germany also agreed on a four-billion-euro defense package. https://t.me/OP_UA/18459
@kevinrothrock no way! Are the European allies of Ukraine helping it with parts for the drone manufacturing in order for it to strike deep in Russia? Well, that only means one thing: we need to help it more
@kevinrothrock I wouldn't be the least surprised to see a EU strike to dissuade members from allowing #Ukraine to join the EU now that #Hungary is being realigned to something less fascist.
@kevinrothrock They're already struggling on one front and want to open multiple new others?

@lispi314 @kevinrothrock

I'm no expert at all, but I would not underestimate Russian cyberwarfare capability.

@RolfBly @kevinrothrock Surely the EU hasn't been so incompetent as to put their everything on the internet, have they?

@lispi314 How do you think manufacturers order parts? Make payments? Send faxes? Well in Germany they still do that. Some.

@kevinrothrock

@RolfBly @kevinrothrock None of that should prevent a response though.

Sensitive control systems being exposed to the Internet? That's the kind of dangerous incompetence that's actually concerning.

@lispi314 Yup. Blind faith in the goodness of people and/or a drive to cut costs. Preventive security? Why? It's no problem, is it?

Some of these politicians and business people would shut down the fire brigade cos there's nothing burning right now.

@kevinrothrock

@RolfBly @kevinrothrock That would be disappointing.

@lispi314 yes. Well, a pessimist is either correct or has some windfall. We shall see.

@kevinrothrock

@lispi314 @kevinrothrock @RolfBly Given there were leaks in the last day of German companies using 256 and 384 bit RSA keys for DKIM signing, this level of incompetence is definitely a thing.
Energy Sector Incident Report - 29 December 2025

CERT Polska presents a report on the analysis of an incident in the energy sector that occurred on 29 December 2025. The attacks were destructive in nature and targeted wind and photovoltaic farms, a large combined heat and power plant, and a company from the manufacturing sector. The publication aims to raise awareness of the risks associated with sabotage in cyberspace.

@lispi314 Honestly, I'm surprised that Moscow hasn't done more to harass the Europeans for all the military aid they send to Ukraine. The U.S. would have started bombing Berlin by now.

@kevinrothrock Russia has a GDP around that of Italy - Europe is 10+ times bigger.

Given Ukraine has been almost their equals, fighting Europe also would guarantee defeat.
