dark reader is proof that there are people out there who think that the default white background on black text that every-fucking-body uses is violence against the user community that needs to be vanquished.
@da_667 imo everything needs fully fleshed light and dark themes that, by default, get autoselected based on your OS preference, but with the option to manually override. also the themes should be equally legible if you have any one of the most common colour vision deficiencies, and easily navigable with a screen reader.
it's really not that hard to do - I did it on my website in a day and I went waaay over the top with stuff like automatic luma inversion on tagged images.
