I'm hearing that filming of the new Highlander movie is on-going. Locations including Eilean Donan and Isle of Skye. Extras being paid £100 per 2 hours.

I will be interested to see what they do with this Highlander reboot. Rumour is that they are re-using the Queen soundtrack, which is probably a good thing. I'm not sure how Henry Cavill and Russell Crowe will cope in the iconic Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery roles (respectively). We'll see.

I've tried to expunge all the sequels from my memory.

The reboot has a stellar cast, and a budget in excess of $100m. Plus, the director is Chad Stahelski, who made all four John Wick movies. Good omens, at least.

Let's hope for the best.

Still, I never got the point of redoing, what's already great.

I wonder if the reboot will have an extended role for Heather MacLeod, as otherwise Karen Gillan won't have much to do.

@fitheach Depends on how it's done. I'm happy with Battlestar Galactica being called a reboot, it was different enough. But yeah, this looks more like a remake. I'd be more interested in a prequel explaining some of the back story.

The BG mini-series was substantially different from the original TV series. The mini-series was great.

A prequel Highlander would be interesting. I'm available for any roles. 😃

@fitheach The cast looks good - I think Henry Cavill will be a good Connor and I'm guessing Russell Crowe will do a better Spanish accent than Connery. And it has Karen Gillan and Dave Bautista as Kurgan. It sounds promising.
